The union representing Tulsa police officers has informed Mayor G.T. Bynum that it will challenge in court any attempt to implement an independent monitoring program that has not been negotiated with the union. Bynum received the news Thursday in a letter from attorney James Moore, who represents Tulsa Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 93. The Tulsa World obtained the letter through an open records request sent to the Mayor’s Office.
