The University of Missouri System has refused to provide the Columbia Missourian with basic information about a suspected embezzlement incident from July 2017 that involved a university employee. The MU Police incident report was provided to the Missourian with almost every line redacted. Incident reports are open records under Missouri’s Sunshine Law, which ensures that the activities and records of the government are open to the public.
